We are the POBOTS, FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 353 from Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School in Plainview, New York.

While our year-to-year goal is to build a competitive robot, our overall team mission is to spread excitement about engineering. We work hard to promote engineering throughout our team, and our community. Within our team, students work side-by-side with mentors who have life-experience in engineering fields. Students have the ability to lead projects under the guidance of mentors, allowing them to learn important skills that will help them pursue careers in science and technology. Within our community, we hold an Engineering Awareness Night, we have introduced Robotics to the curriculum at many schools in our district, and we have started and continued to mentor several FLL and JFLL teams in our community.
